Both locations have the technologies for target discovery, lead generation and optimization, drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics, as well as toxicology and clinical pharmacology.

Berkeley will remain an important global research and development center for protein-based biologics drug discovery and will continue to be the home of the modern Kogenate biological manufacturing facility, an innovative medication for the treatment of hemophilia.
